Executed in Copenhagen from 21 – 25 April and from 16 – 20 June, 2008, the title of this work was taken from the second disk (back) No.3 Rotorelief by Marcel Duchamp.
Lithographs printed in colors from stone, the complete portfolio of five, all fine, fresh impressions of the only states, all full sheets, printed on 250gsm cream white wove Velin d’Arches paper, some to the edges, each sheet signed, dated, numbered and annotated “LC1” through “LC5” on the reverse in pencil by the artist, executed in an edition of 40 examples (there were also 3 Artist Proof portfolios, 4 Printers Proof portfolios, 1 proof portfolio annotated “CdE” which is reserved for the Cabinet des Estampes, Geneva and 1 proof inscribed “Archive” which is reserved for the collaborators and is not for sale) printed by the artist with the assistance of Rasmus Urwald, published by World House Editions, Middlebury, Connecticut and Edition Copenhagen, Copenhagen, contained in a white linen-covered portfolio case, all prints in fine condition.
Notes:
Although the prints are signed in a particular location on the reverse, the artist has stated that there is no particular horizontal or vertical orientation for each print, therefore owners may frame and install the works according to their own physical environment.
