Donald Taglialatella is pleased to announce that World House Editions will participate at the 2010 Editions|Artists’ Books Fair.  This showing marks the fourth year in a row for World House Editions.    The fair will take place at the former DIA Art Foundation building located at 548 West 22nd Street (between 10th and 11th Avenues) in New York.  It will open on Thursday, 04 November from 5 to 8pm and will run through Sunday, 07 November.  Hours can be found at www.eabfair.com.  The World House Editions stand is 37.

Hungarian-American painter, collagist and photographer Rita Ackermann (b.1968) will make her print debut at E|AB with a selection of new monotypes created in October in New York at the workshop of Derriere L’Etoile Studios. Through painting, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture, music, performance and now prints, Rita Ackermann explores the coexistence between aggression and fragility. While defiantly objective, her work appropriates images from our culture at large.  Her most recent work further investigates the tension between expression and composition and can be seen as a meditation on the nature of cultural production in itself.  This monotype project marks the first collaboration between Rita Ackermann and World House Editions.  The artist presently has an exhibition at Rebecca Cahmi Gallery in Athens, a forthcoming two-person exhibition with Harmony Korine at the Swiss Institute in New York   She is currently preparing a monograph to be published by Rizzoli that is scheduled to be released in September 2011 to coincide with her first solo museum exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. She also will have a solo exhibition at the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, in November 2011

Also featured this year will be a new photo edition by the renowned multi-media Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury (b.1961)  Giulietta (2010, 15 x 19 7/8 inches) is a Chromogenic C-print mounted on Dibond in an edition of 24, and is the first photographic edition published by an American publisher.  Giulietta is classic Sylvie Fleury; from the depiction of an American automobile (a fascination of the artists’ since her first car, a 1968 Chevy Camaro) through her use of designer clothing and jewelry as signs and signifiers commenting on consumer and popular culture, to the historical/art historical double entendre and ambiguity of the title of the work.  Are we viewing a contemporary Juliet (Giulietta)?  This project marks the first collaboration between the Sylvie Fleury and World House Editions.  She is currently showing in, Fashionable Art – Mode in der Kunst, at the Kunst Raum Riehen in Basel.

We will also be exhibiting editions by: Brian Alfred, John Armleder, Robert Cottingham, Mark Francis, Antony Gormley, Ryan McGinness, Graciela Sacco and Josh Smith.
