JOHN ARMLEDER
360°
June 23 – September 10, 2018
360°, a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the work of John Armleder, opens at Museo Madre, Naples, on June 23 and will remain on view through September 10, 2018. The opening reception will be held tonight from 7 to 10 p.m.
Curated by Andrea Viliani with Silvia Salvati, 360° will explore the far-reaching contributions of one of contemporary art’s acknowledged masters. Beginning with works from the 1960s, it will examine Armleder’s career through the present day, including works created specifically for the occasion. His varied output includes drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video, sound, text, prints and editorial and curatorial projects, examples of each of which will be represented in the exhibition.
360° will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue, which will be produced in collaboration with Museion, Bolzano, and will include an essay by Heidi Zuckerman, an interview with the artist, and a detailed biography.
