Executed in 1997, this work is unique.
Monoprint etching printed in tones from multiple plates, a fine, fresh impression of the only known state, the full sheet, printed on an unidentified hand-made paper, with irregular margins, signed with the initials, dated and numbered "1/1" in pencil by the artist, a unique impression printed by the artist with the assistance of Garner Tullis, New York, in very fine condition, unframed.
The present work was executed when Dan Walsh, along with master printer Garner Tullis, visited the Yale University School of Art in New Haven for a one day, artist/printer collaboration with students. According to the artist this work was "...made from three different plates and a cut-out piece of rough sandpaper with ink dots painted into the grain, then all printed at once. I remember the day: I drew on and etched 7 or 8 plates and tried a variety of combinations....because we were experimenting."
